Emily and Colt – November 11, 2020

Emily and Colt had a beautiful November wedding in Alvarado Texas. It was filled with warm sunshine, rich autumn color, and the joyful celebration of love and family. Their wedding was at The Springs Venue, their photographer was Silver Bear Creative.

I connected with Emily and her mom Tanya immediately, they’re Texas Panhandle people like me – that’s where I grew up and there’s nothing quite like meeting and talking to people “from home”. I love it when clients bring a family member, it’s fun to get that little glimpse into that relationship (and your interactions with your mom/partner/sister/friend etc gives me a lot of insight into your personality)!

For their flowers, Emily requested shades of burgundy and wine, with some fall neutrals and textures incorporated. We chose dahlias, roses, ranunculus, scabiosa, amaranthus and lisianthus, with eucalyptus, calycina heather, agonis, cotinus and rosemary for the textural elements.

Their arch was full of autumn texture and gold branches. They provided us with some antlers to add for a really cool rustic touch.

We made aisle pieces for the ceremony in wooden bark boxes, with pampas grass, dried eucalyptus, broomcorn, and golden branches.

The ceremony featured more rich autumn textures in our gold compotes and on gold stands.

Congrats, you two! It was absolutely beautiful! And many thanks to Silver Bear http://www.silverbearcreative.com for these gorgeous images!
